Think Pure awards instituted by Think Pure Social Welfare Foundation were presented at a special function held at Tilak Smarak Mandir to mark the 104th birth anniversary of Dajikaka Gadgil.
Think Pure Social Welfare Foundation is an initiative of PNG Jewellers and this was the fifth edition.
Dr S. B Mujumdar, Founder Director Symbiosis, Arun Firodia, Chairman Kinetic Group, Saurabh Gadgil , CMD PNG Jewellers, Parag Gadgil, Executive Director and Vidyadhar Gadgil, Director PNG Jewellers were present on the occasion. Sudhir Gadgil was the compere for the event.
The awards were presented in various categories to:
Ujjwal Nikam as the ‘Icon of Maharashtra’
Dr. Bhargavi Davar for her exceptional social work
Dr. Arun Nigavekar, ex-vice chancellor of Pune University for his work in the field of education;
Rahul Deshpande for his contribution to the performing arts
Kedar Jadhav for his contribution to sports
Ravindra Sengaonkar for his work in public service.
The night concluded with a performance by award winning classical singer Rahul Deshpande and his team.
