Spectrum, a ladies’ study group consisting of 350 members has conducted a mini marathon for soldiers of the ‘Paraplegic Rehabilitation Centre’ who have lost their limbs and became wheelchair bound in the defense of our borders.

Along with them, around 500 mentally and physically challenged school children were also given an opportunity to run.

This “Run For Fun” event is a one of the several activities being conducted by the group in their Silver Jubilee year. The accent is on participation and not winning. Every participant was honoured with a medal. The Chief Guest was Murlikant Patkar, a wheelchair bound war veteran who has brought honours to India at the Olympiad. Some of these differently abled children were underprivileged also.

Around 50 wheelchair bound veteran soldiers have complete the run with remarkable speed.
