For all biking enthusiasts, Motoday is here!

Just before World Motorcycling Day on June 21, bike lovers in the city have something new and exciting to look forward to over the weekend. Challenging trails, stand-up comedy, great food and music events are all lined up for the third edition of Motoday, an event by the bikers, for the bikers.

MotoDreamz, an automotive and motoring community, is back with their annual bike fare Motoday, an event for all motorcycling enthusiasts. It will be organised at Lavasa on the June 18 and 19. Over 2000 motorcycling lovers from all over the country are expected to join the event.

“We want to celebrate the spirit of motorcycling but at the same time we want to promote road safety and be responsible to our community,” said Amey Thorat, one of the founders at MotoDreamz.

This year’s edition will see the participation of motor celebrities like KP Aravind, a National Super Cross Champion and Second Entrant in the Dakar Rally from India, Neharika Yadav, one of the best female superbike racers in India, Zayn Khan, the President of Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India (FMSCI) and Reza Kazerooni, the head of Strategic Alliance and Events for Monster India.

The event will feature a wide display of bikes by brands like Ducati, Indian Motorcycles and Mahindra Mojo among others. There will also be an exhibition of classic bikes and Japanese designed bikes.

Moreover, people will get to auction their motor parts at the event, in a shopping zone, where riders from across the country can come and trade their best products like helmets, tyres, chains, machines and other gear.

The Motoday celebrations will have discussions with experts from across India talking about road safety, bike customisation and much more.

Apart from motorcycling activities, other enjoyable and entertaining events are also lined up. A stand-up comedy show and a live music performance have been organised to make the event more enjoyable.

Furthermore, Motoday has collaborated with the Pune RTO to promote road safety through a campaign that encourages riders to wear a helmet.

“All the riders that come in are expected to be geared with a helmet, appropriate shoes and a riding jacket. We have not taken any sponsorship from alcohol brands for the specific reason that we do not promote drunken driving. We will not serve alcohol at the event as well,” stated Niranjan Tarphe, one of the founders of MotoDreamz.
