The 10th edition of Vasantotsav, a three day music festival, is all set to enthral music lovers this month. Organized annually in memory of renowned Hindustani classical vocalist Dr. Vasantrao Deshpande, the festival will have two exclusive performances each day, including vocal performances by Pt. Venkatesh Kumar, Rekha Bharadwaj, Rahul Deshpande and Anand Bhate. A musical drama, ‘Sangeet Manapman’, a flute recital by Pt. Ronu Mujumdar and a fusion session by Pt Vishwa Mohan Bhat and ‘Indian ocean’, have also been planned.
The ‘Vasantrao Deshpande Smruti Sanman’ and ‘Vasantrao Deshpande Udayonmukh Kalakar’, will be awarded to 3 artists on Sunday, January 22nd.
Free passes will be available from January 14th at Balgandharva Rang Mandir and Pandit Farms from 10.00 am onwards.
