A mehfil of Urdu literature and Sufi music, ‘Sukhan’ brings you an evening of Urdu storytelling, recitation of Ghazals, Nazms and Urdu prose, and a musical rendition of Ghazals and Qawwalis. Dipping into the vast treasure of Urdu literature, the show – compiled and directed by Om Bhutkar – will include shayari by Saahir Ludhyanvi, Faiz Ahmed Faiz, Mirza Ghalib, Ameer Khusrow among others. The content varies from show to show and encourages interaction between the artists and the audience.
