Dada J.P. Vaswani was presented the ‘Sant Ratna Puraskar’ by the Warkari associations, at the hands of Dr. Budhajirao Mulik, today, June 30, 2016 at the Sadhu Vaswani Mission. A big Warkari procession arrived at the mission and sang Vithala and Tukaram bhajans.
Accepting the award, Dada said that his Guru taught him not be a Bhakta, but a bhakta of the bhaktas, servant of the Bhaktas. He said, “You all are bhaktas and I bow down to each one of you. You all come from different parts. The call of Warkaris should be – we all are one. Bhakti is the soul of India and may the Warkaris grow and inspire more and more on the path of devotion.”
Dada was also presented a statue of Panduranga of Pandharpur. Dada was offered the Veena by the Warkaris and he held it with humbleness. He was also given the Tulsi Vrindavan to hold.
