Arya Sangeet Prasarak Mandal is organizing a musical program titled, ‘Sangat-Sangeet’, as a tribute to Bharat Ratna Pt. Bhimsen Joshi, on his death anniversary. The program will start on January 21 with a vocal performance by Prashant Pandav, a popular Tabala player. This will be followed by vocal performances of Avinash Dighe, noted Harmonium player and Akhilesh Gundecha, a renowned Pakhawaj player. The morning session of January 22, will see a performance by Upendra Bhat and Shrinivas Joshi; followed by a Sitar and Sarod performance by Lakshaya Mohan and Aayush Mohan Gupta; and a flute recital by Pravin Godkhindi. In the evening, catch performances by Ramdas Palsule, Suyog Kundalkar and Bharat Kamat.
