To mark the 52nd Death Anniversary of renowned filmmaker Bimal Roy, NFAI will host the re-launch of the book “Bimal Roy: The Man Who Spoke in Pictures”. An anthology edited by Rinki Roy Bhattacharya and Anwesha Arya, the book recollects several anecdotes about the master filmmaker and examines his films from a number of perspectives.
Dr. Mohan Agashe and Chitra Palekar will read passages from the book as a tribute. The audience will also have the opportunity to view a selection of audiovisual clips from Roy’s films.
The program has been organized by NFAI in association with Bimal Roy Film Society.
