The Lila Poonawala Foundation, under the 2morrow 2gether school project initiative, has been providing scholarships, training and counselling to school girls. The foundation recently gave away bicycles to Lila Juniors who stay outside the 2 km radius of their respective schools, in an attempt to make their commute to and from the school easier.
Since the inception of this initiative, the Foundation has distributed 80 cycles in Kamshet and Gawadewadi schools. This year, the Foundation distributed 21 cycles to the Kamshet School, in the presence of Mr. Goran Grosskopf, Chairman, IKEA Foundation. 34 cycles were given to the girls studying in St Clares, CES Kanya Shala & Utkarsha English Medium School.
A variety entertainment programme was also put up by the students at one of the events.
