Head to Good France, a French gastronomy event

On March 21, over 2000 restaurants in 150 countries will participate in the Goût de/Good France event to celebrate French gastronomy. This event, orchestrated by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Development and Chef Alain Ducasse, is inspired by Auguste Escoffier, who launched the “Dîners d’Épicure” (Epicurean Dinners) initiative in 1912: the same menu, on the same day, in several cities, for as many guests as possible.

Chefs from all over the world will cook a dinner to pay tributeto the excellence of French cuisine and its capacity to innovate and unite people around the common values of sharing and enjoyment in a planet-friendly and healthy way.

In Pune, Chef Anand Rangari, the Executive Chef of restaurant Glass Window at the Hotel Deccan Rendezvous has taken up the challenge and is offering a special menu for food enthusiasts of Pune. With over twenty years of experience in Dubai at the the Award winning Jumeirah Beach Hotel, Chef Anand already succesfully organised the Bastille Day Dinner for Alliance Francaise de Pune last year and is thrilled to be part of this worldwide initiative.

He has come up with his signature menu including canapés, king fish steak in Chardonnais sauce and other French delicacies like Crème brûlée and of course the traditional French onion soup.

When: March 21, 7 pm to 11 pm

Where: Glass Window Restaurant, Hotel Deccan Rendezvous, Shivajinagar
