In an effort to commemorate Pune’s contribution to India’s freedom struggle, Janwani has organised ‘The Freedom Trail Pune’, a one-day guided tour that takes one to various sites associated with freedom fighters and events during this period. Pune has been the epicentre of the nationalist movement with great men and women like Gopal Krishna Gokhale, Bal Gangadhar Tilak, Mahatma Phule, Savitri Bai, Justice Ranade and many othersinvolved.
The tour will take one to the following places:
1. Savitribai Phule Pune University
2. Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics
3. Fergusson College
4. Kesari Wada
5. Phule Wada
6. Aga Khan Palace
7. Yerwada Jail
The tour will be priced at Rs 500 per person for a day.
