Author Sudha Menon’s annual Mother’s Day event will feature Pune’s feisty , award-winning swimmer, Gauri Gadgil and her mother, Mugddha, who refused to give up on her daughter, who was born with Down’s Syndrome. The Gadgil duo will be joined at the event by social entrepreneur Priyanka Khandelwal of Abira Creations, who is empowering underprivileged women in her neighborhood by imparting livelihood and life skills to them. “When you empower a mother, you are helping her transform the lives of her family and the community,” is Priyanka’s favorite line.
Menon, the author of multiple non-fiction books including Legacy, a best-selling book of letters from parents to their daughters, will be in conversation with the trio at Ritika and Rohit Tickoo’s popular destination store, Either Or.
