Anj Kouture highlights Rajasthani architecture at PFW 2016

In a bid to put Pune on the fashion map in India, Anj Kouture by Anjoo Karanjia revealed its latest collection called Adarza on the final day of the Pune Fashion Week on September 25.

Adarza translates to ‘mirror’ and is used as a metaphor to reflect the emotions, personality and individuality of the bride on the day of her wedding. The bridal collection was inspired by the Sheesh Mahal at Amer Fort in Rajasthan. The intricate architecture of the place can be seen incorporated in motifs and embroideries in the collection.

“As a woman, you look back and reflect at each stage of your life but the wedding ceremony holds a special place. Women today shy away from facing the mirror, either they doubt their physical appearance or run away from facing the truth. Adarza for me is an empowering movement for women to let their souls shine and have the freedom to express their inner beauty,” expressed Anjoo Karanjia.
