Cyrus Broacha – I Miss The Old Pune !

Cyrus Broacha recently entertained Pune with the show Comic Relief at Symbiosis. This event was conducted to raise funds for the education of children in rural areas.
The Project was presented by Pune Mid-Town Round Table (PMRT65) and Pune Mid-town Ladies Circle (PMLC53).

We got our moment with the man and here is  a sneak peek into the conversation.

What was your childhood dream?

To be someone like Genghis Khan and own a lot of land!

Who is your favourite comedian?

Jaspal Bhatti. Although he is no more, no one has ever been able to top him in my opinion.

What is that one thing that people don’t know about you?

I love lifting weights. I can seriously make it my profession.

Tell us about the early Cyrus days…

Since 13, I was into theatre. When MTV launched in 1996, I came on board with them and the rest is history. And, I am proud of the fact that I belong to the first generation of liberal TV.

What do you do when you don’t feel inspired to perform?

I drink an energy drink.

How would you rate yourself as a comedian?

I don’t think I’m a comedian. I am more of a joker.

Memories of  Pune?

Since my childhood, I have been coming here especially, on the weekends. However, sadly, this city is now becoming like Mumbai. The traffic, the noise, etc. I miss the old Pune.
