CURATED BY VCW ACADEMY OF FINE ARTS : The trance of Shiva shown here is an influence of contemporary drawings. Unlike the painting here, Armaan must be meticulous about each and every line in its different forms and rendering styles. This is what makes a picture of this kind unique. Also using rhythmic lines and design in a snake-like form on the Shivalinga and to create an ‘Om’ to enhance the feeling of trance. The mild blue vignette behind symbolises a calm spirit – perhaps.
