Artist: Annika Panjikar, Age 6 yrs,
Medium: Ink and Oil Pastels
Size: 14” X 11”
Jury Award @ Young Envoys International
CURATED BY VCW ACADEMY OF FINE ARTS : Beautifully composed is this little girl’s work. The grand Guajrati festival of Raas-Garba better known as ‘Dandiya’ amongst today’s kids. Traditionally dressed, specially the multi-coloured ‘Ghagras’ of the dancers are so well coloured with oil pastels and shading. The clean and neat line work shows so much confidence in drawing at such a little age. The blue background of the figures with mild white spots and lines shows the light effects of the surroundings without disturbing the composition in any way. No wonder Annika gets a Jury Award at Young Envoys International
