The Thin Man Turns Into A Bankable Star

He was boyish looking, thin and hardly hero material when he first caught attention of Bollywood after a stint as a background dancer.

But Shahid Kapoor overcame this with determination and evolved from a thin boy to one of the most handsome men in Bollywood. He put on some muscle, improved his acting abilities and became a major star.

Son of actors Pankaj Kapoor and Neelima Azeem, Shahid Kapoor started with Ishq Vishk but his career fluctuated right through. Some of his choices were not great but he redeemed himself in most of his roles.

Rajiv (Shahid Kapoor) wants to be popular in college but he and his friend Mambo (Malhotra) are mocked by his other friends Danny and Javed. Planning a trip to Alibag, the latter pair tells the former to get girlfriends on the trip. Rajiv picks childhood friend Payal (Amrita) and professes his love for her to get her to agree which she does.

But misunderstandings occur when Rajiv is found out that he does not really love Payal. He then casts his eye on Alisha (Shenaz) who is a classy type. The Rajiv-Payal love story turns sour before the former realises who his true love is.

An impressionable young man Jai (Shahid Kapoor) lives with his friend Sonia (Kim) but gets smitten by a beautiful lady Neha (Kareena) who does not reciprocate but later does when he attempts suicide. Elsewhere a don Babu Anna (Mishra) has lost a lot of money due to a bank Internet theft.

Neha’s father owes the don a big sum of money so Jai tries to rob Vikram (Fardeen) and gets caught. However, Vikram reveals himself as the hacker who robbed the banks. He asks Jai to take the blame and confess to the bank theft and give himself up which he does. But Fate is not kind to Jai and he gets into a mess with a few shocks thrown in.

A couple get involved in a murder plot and find it difficult to get out of it. The child of Goa’s China Town millionaires Sonia (Isha) is kidnapped and not found which forces her to change her will. Struggling actor Raj (Shahid) and a runaway Priya (Kareena) stumble upon a baby and learn it is Sonia’s.

They go to Sonia’s mansion in Goa to return the baby and claim the reward only to find her dead. Circumstantial evidence points to the duo as killers but as more shady characters enter the scene there is a chance that somebody else may have murdered Sonia. Who is the killer?

An intelligent, soft spoken young man Prem (Shahid Kapoor) is told by his family to meet Poonam (Amrita) who is brought up by her uncle after her parents died early. Prem does not want to marry as yet but he agrees to see her. They hit it off and are engaged.

They begin to fall in love as time goes by. Then a fire breaks out at the Poonam household and she gets her face burned when she tries to save her cousin who is trapped inside. However, Prem is determined to marry her.

Twins Guddu and Charlie (Shahid) get involved in crime and drugs which ends in violence. The former stutters while the latter lisps. Charlie is looking to get rich quick but lands in trouble while trying to collect his winnings from a fixed race, instead getting involved with three policemen with a guitar case full of cocaine.

This brings him in contact with politician Bhope (Gupte) whose daughter Sweety (Priyanka) is impregnated by Guddu. Things begin to get sticky and confusions follow as the twins get embroiled in mistaken identity, greed and love. Will they survive?
