For Puneites and Indians at large, the quintessential after-mint, or paan as we know it, is the perfect end to a great meal….

The paan using the betel leaf is an amazing genius of culinary engineering and is capable of not only aiding digestion but also leaving your palate nice and refreshed.

While Pune always had a number of small ‘Paan Tapris or shops, the new gourmet line up is quite spectacular and innovative. They offer so much more than just the regular Magai, Gulkand, Banarasi or Calcutta and actually give you a taste of how the ‘Maharaja’s’ enjoyed their paan.

This is what we found when we hit the streets Paan-hunting!
