Cognizant Technology Solutions and Syntel Solutions registered easy victories over CSSL and IP Access in the 2nd Prithvi Edifice Cup 2016 Inter IT T20 Cricket Championship at the Shinde H.S ground, here on Saturday.
In a Group-4 encounter, Cognizant, who batted first after CSSL opted to bowl, rode on a run-a-ball 61-run partnership between Rajiv Patnaik (75 n.o.) and Karan Kesarkar (27) to post a fighting 173/5 total off their allotted 20 overs.
In reply, CSSL fell to Abhinav Kalta who turned out to be a match-winner claiming 4/1, which also triggered the collapse of CSSL innings which ended at 86.
In a Group-7 match, IP Access pushed themselves to 97 against Syntel. A face saving innings by Yogesh Maheshwari (49) salvaged the IP Access innings. For Syntel, Vedank Bagal (3/15) and Naman Sharma (2/24) did well.
Syntel looked shaky losing wickets at regular intervals before managing 101/ 6 in 12.5 Overs. Rhushikesh Diwate 60-run effort was the top score of the match.
