Gandhi Jayanti: Checking Pune’s Intelligent Quotient

A catalyst of the freedom struggle that helped India win independence from the British, Mahatma Gandhi was not mere an activist and freedom fighter. His way of leading life, his words of wisdom and philosophy still inspires people across the globe.

Gandhiji married when he was 13 with an arranged marriage and his wife was a year older.

Gandhi and Kasturba Gandhi had their first child when he was 15 years old.

An urn that once contained Mahatma Gandhi’s ashes is now at a shrine in Los Angeles, California.

As Gandhiji relented to drinking goat’s milk, he sometimes traveled with his goat to ensure that the milk was fresh and that he wasn’t given cow or buffalo milk.
