ARCHANGEL RAPHAEL is pushing you out of that door! Get outdoors and go for a walk, a jog, go trekking or do anything to get your adrenaline pumping. Eat right, sleep right and think right. Today is all about getting into the “healthy body-healthy mind” mode.

When did you last write your food diary? Well, if you ever haven’t or have recently stopped jotting down the essentials you pop into your mouth, today is as good a day as any, to start.
This practice of writing about every morsel you eat is a good one. Whilst it tracks the calories and tells you about the good and bad of food, more importantly, you need to note your moods while you eat certain foods. You have to create a practice to understand your feelings during that time. You must know if you are eating consciously the foods with benefits or just indulging in emotional binging. That is a dangerous place to be in. A lot of weight gain happens when people suffer from unconscious patterns. Wherein they eat because they are sad, hurt, angry, anxious or just plain bored. When you are conscious of your feelings, you are in a positive mind-space and don’t waste the calories in unhealthy foods and instead eat sensibly and create an exercise regime to stay fit.So start becoming consciously aware of how you feel moment to moment and what does food do for you? What kind of food uplifts your moods, what foods re-ignite a cell memory of joy or sadness from the past. Being aware will help you create a healthy lifestyle. And that should be your goal today.

With today’s technology there are many apps available on phones for exercise & food tracking but none talks about moods associated with eating. So it’s best to make a diary with your food and mood patterns. Writing always helps analyze one’s mind better. Try it.
