CURATED BY VCW ACADEMY OF FINE ARTS: Vaubaras is the first day of Diwali. India’s farmers worship cows and calves since they consider cows as a primary family member. You can see the boy decorating the cow with a shawl. The cow’s horns are painted and it is adorned with ornaments as well. The lady of the house is seen feeding wheat to ‘Gomata’. This gives the picture a lovely atmosphere of village life that cares for animals.
