We had popular home chefs ( Courtesy: MealTango ) rise to the occasion sharing palate tickling recipes that are a breeze to whip up. Selecting from this list needed an expert and in stepped Michelin Star Chef Milind Sovani to curate and arrive at these 5 light dishes..

Fruity Oats with Curd for Breakfast:  Alka Mediratta

Alka Mediratta

Ingredients: 1 cup oats, 1 cup fruit juice(of any seasonal fruit or vegetable), 1cup chopped fruits(any seasonal fruit), 1/2 cup curd, 1 tablespoon honey

Method:
Soak oats with juice and keep it in a fridge overnight.
Next day add curd, honey and chopped fruits and serve! Yummy breakfast is ready.

In the same manner, if you want to have a salty breakfast then add vegetable juice or buttermilk for soaking and put salt instead of honey.

 

Sprouts surprise: Rashi Jaiswal

Sprouts Surprise

2 pcs Brown bread slices toasted (1slice cut circular and another one should be cut into a ring of the same size) Spread tomato ketchup on the circle shape bread slice.

Place the ring-shaped slice on top to create a circle cavity.
Fill this cavity with 1/2cup mixed sports, salt, chat masala, black pepper (as per taste), some chopped onions, tomato, green chilli, coriander. Serve with coffee or tea.

Mexican Corn Salad: Rashi Jaiswal

Mexican Corn SaladIn a bowl, mix 1 small finely chopped onion, 1big cucumber cut in small pcs, 10-12 small pcs of paneer, 1 medium pack of cheese nachos-crushed, chopped coriander, chopped green Chilli, 1 Spoon lemon juice, 1/2 tsp olive oil, salt, chat masala.

 

Method:
Take a medium size bowl.
Take 3 small sized roasted or fried papad (any papad of your wife’s choice). Place these papads inside the bowl along the wall such that it forms a boundary. Fill the above filling in the centre and enjoy.

 

 

Mushrooms/Chicken Pasta: Surbhi Chaudhari

Ingredients: Spaghetti pasta (boiled and drained), Mushrooms or Chicken (boiled), Fresh parsley, Garlic, Olive oil, Cream, Milk, 1tbsp Maid, Salt, Pepper, Italian seasoning

Method: Heat oil in a pan, add garlic, saute till it’s fragrant. Add mushrooms or chicken, saute for till cooked. Add Italian seasoning, maida and saute for few seconds, then add milk and cream whisking constantly. Add pasta water- depending on the consistency. Bring it to boil. Add fresh parsley. Grate some parmesan cheese and serve!

Tower Surprise

Take any transparent glass. Place some Hershey’ s chocolate sauce as the bottom layer. Put some chocolate cookie crumbs to form the next layer. Put some cake pieces to form the 3rd layer (any cake of choice)Put vanilla or chocolate ice-cream as the 4th layer. Sprinkle some cookie crumbs, pour some chocolate sauce on top, some roasted and chopped nuts. While putting the layer’s, see you cover the full height of the glass.
