Gyaan Adab brings you an exhibition which tells the story of Gyaan Ruchi, their social wing. Gyaan Ruchi has reached out to women in bastis scattered across Pune and established 17 community activity centres. Each centre has a rotating library of books in Marathi, Hindi, Urdu and English, which is maintained in a metal trunk. Reading and discussion activities blossom around each library and specially designed interactive self-development sessions encourage women to introspect and harness their positive energies, to work towards a stronger and more stable position in the family and the community at large.
The exhibition to be inaugurated on Jan 4, showcases photographs, stories and various forms of self-expression of the women who are part of the project. In addition beautifully hand-crafted items made by them will be on display.
