Tell us about your tryst with Pune..

I am roughly aware of the social as well as the political situation here. But on my visit this time, I’ve tried a lot of the local cuisine, which I loved! But, what has surprised me the most is that Comic Cons are becoming hugely popular here. That being said, be it Bolivia, Chile, India or Russia, the culture is spreading effusively.

Which movie is your personal favourite?

Oh, I have lots of favorites! But, Bullitt the thriller by Peter Yates is an all-time favourite. The old Ford Mustang used in the movie way back in 1968 has just been found in Mexico! Blade Runner is another favourite.

What’s the weirdest thing a fan has ever done for you?

I find it strange when people come around with V tattooed on their body. V’s become such an icon that it’s understandable. It’s still unusual though.

What would be your one super power?

At the risk of sounding cliché, I’d like to bring love and peace to the world.

How can an aspiring illustrator get your special attention?

Well, if they’re good, we’d love to hear from them. As I’m a publisher, we’re always looking for fresh talent. Aspiring illustrators and storytellers can submit their art, comic strips or samples to info@acesweekly.co.uk

What’s one of the nicest experiences you’ve had this time around?

Well, I’ve just been here a day now and the amount of love I’ve already received is astounding. The enthusiasm is very heartening. I especially love it when people come up to me and want a picture taken with me.

As an artist and storyteller, I think that’s the greatest thing- knowing what you’ve managed to create, has such universal appeal. There’s no better feeling!
