UCMAS State Level Competition in Pune

Over 1500 students will be participating in the 10th UCMAS Abacus State Level Competition to be held in Pune, on the 8th of January. Students from 12 districts will converge at Balewadi stadium to compete for grand trophies and prizes.

Participating Schools:

Students from Saint Mary’s school Camp, DPS Kondhwa, Bishop’s Kalyani Nagar and Camp, Victorious Kharadi, Lexicon Wagholi and Kalyani Nagar, Pawar Public School Hadapsar, Vikhe Patil Memorial School Lohegaon, Sungrace Kondhwa, Kothari National School Kondhwa and Podar International Wagholi will be representing through various UCMAS Abacus centres.

Actual Competition:

The actual competition involves solving 200 sums in 8 minutes.
UCMAS (Universal Concept Mental Arithmetic System) is a global organization headquartered in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, with operations in 54 countries. Abacus training is universally recognized as a powerful whole-brain development programme. Using the ancient tool ABACUS, children in the 5-12 year age group, develop concentration, arithmetic ability, logic, speed and analytical skills.
