Why do I love Pune?
Hmm… It’s the city I came to at the tender age of 15 to join the National Defence Academy. It’s the city wherein I fell in love with a Maharashtrian girl as I’m from Kashmir. It’s the city where we got married. And, it’s the city we came back to after spending 20 years abroad. It’s the city where I launched my first book. This city must surely have some unique force that attracts people from all over the country to come to it and become a Puneite. That said, we must, through exhibiting civic responsibility, collectively ensure that this force is not allowed to dissipate. Jai Pune! Jai Maharashtra!
