On the occasion of the 75th birthday of National Award winning director–writer, SumitraBhave, the National Film Archive of India and Abhrat films are organizing a special event. Sumitra Bhave is known for making prominent films such as Kasav, Samhita and DahaviFa. The event will be attented by the cast and crew of her films.
‘Vastupurush’ a film directed by SumitraBhave–Sunil Sukathankar will be screened at 2pm, followed by the felicitation at 5.15pm. Renowned personalities like Dr Anand Nadkarni, Jyoti Subhash, Uttara Bawakar, Deepa Shreeram, Anil Aavchat and Dr.Mohan Aagashe will be present to honour the director. Noted film expert Manu Chakravatry will speak on her films.
