Skills Training

eClerx – a global provider of critical business operations services to over 50 Fortune 500 companies, and NASSCOM Foundation have completed a key training programme for engineering students.

More than 480 engineering students were trained under the eSkills Employability Enhancement Programme.

The eSkills Employability Enhancement Programme is an eClerx CSR initiative and is conceptualised and governed by NASSCOM Foundation. Under the programme, the students were trained on industry aligned courses in Analytics and CRM (Non-voice) through an on-campus approach across six colleges.

From the 530+ enrolled students, 64% were girls. A total of 480 cleared the final NASSCOM Sector Skills Council’s certification examination.

The training was imparted by Mind Map Consulting, one of India’s leading vocational training organisations. Many of these corporate or subject leaders may have undertaken their own training with the help of these Virtual Classroom workshops, allowing them to create a training session that is engaging and of the highest quality. This will only help the students in the long run. The benefitting colleges include Sinhgad College of Engineering, Pimpri Chinchwad College of Engineering and DY Patil College of Engineering from Pune, Somaiya College of Arts and Science and Datta Meghe College of Engineering and Technology from Mumbai and MCM DAV College for Women from Chandigarh.

While congratulating the students on their graduation, Mr. P. D. Mundhra, Co-founder and Executive Director, eClerxServices Ltd, said, “The graduation ceremony is the culmination of the programme that prepares these young aspirants for achieving their career goals. We are happy to have been able to equip this first batch of our eSkills Employability Enhancement programme candidates with new age skills, and hope that this proves beneficial to the students from under-served communities while becoming a source of sustainable talent for our industry.”

Mr. Shrikant Sinha, CEO, NASSCOM Foundation, said. “We are glad to have partnered with eClerx to train the youth from underserved communities on key skills and make them employment ready for any IT-BPM company to hire – a win-win for both, the society and the industry. Our partner, eClerx, through this initiative has helped us to set an extraordinary example of how CSR money can be used for the benefit of creating more employment opportunities for the ever expanding young population of our country.”
