Residency Club celebrated 25 glorious years with a unique initiative of honoring people, through the specially instituted Pune’s Pride Awards. The Awards are given to individuals in recognition of their contribution in varied fields. Shri R. K. Agrawal, delivered the welcome address at the ceremony which was held at the Residency Club. Smt. Rashmi Shukla, Police Commissioner of Pune, was the Chief Guest at the event.
The awards were given to Mr. Balasaheb Landge for Sports; Ms. Mrunal Kulkarni for Art and Culture; Mr. N.M. Joshi for Academics; Mr. Ranjit More, Corporate; Mr. Sanjay Nahar for Social Work and the Lifetime Award was conferred on Mr. Darius Forbes.
In addition, the Club recognized the supreme sacrifices of the soldiers who laid down their lives for the nation, and presented the widows with sewing machines.
