Not only does the city provides various sightseeing and trekking options for the adventure seekers but also has some great options for adventure sports in close proximity.

Here is our pick of adventure sports ( in random order of preference ) and where you can try your hand at them.

River Rafting: A most sought after adventure activity; river Rafting is not for the weak. Enjoy this bumpy adventure with your group at Kundalika River in Kolad. Fed by water from Mulshi Dam and surrounded by beautiful landscape, it makes for a perfect day-trip for all those to want to break free from the shackles of their cubicles.

And if river rafting is not on the cards then try Kayaking right there!

Paragliding: This caters to our eternal fancy  for soaring above the clouds and having a bird’s eye view of the city. Paragliding is one such adventure sport that gives an opportunity to try this thrilling feeling. Soar high in the sky and take a 360 ° view of the city while flying above the mountains. Soak in the lush green tree trails and picturesque beauty of the surroundings while experiencing this one of a kind thriller.

Bungee Jumping: A scary sport that excites the young crowd is Bungee Jumping. Attached to special equipment that is about 150 ft above the ground, the fall lasts for about 10 mins. and that is enough to get you an adrenaline rush like never before. Hanging upside down in the middle of nowhere will give every daredevil a spine chilling experience.

Waterfall Rappelling:  With countless waterfalls around the city, Rappelling is one such sport that every Puneite must try. A trek to the top and then making your way down while rappelling through the waterfalls, this sport gives so much and all at once. The best time to enjoy rappelling is undoubtedly the monsoon!

Hot Air Ballooning: Sway with the wind and take an hour’s ride skimming the valley of Lonavala in a gigantic balloon. Enjoy the breath-taking terrain, and the pristine green terrain from a unique perspective.You can offer toast with champagne at 4000 feet above the ground.
