The world of fashion and the life and times of models are in focus in this Bhandarkar film through the eyes of Meghna (Priyanka), an aspiring model. She is friends with supermodel Shonali (Kangana) and another aspiring model Janet (Mugda). Life isn’t easy after Meghna comes to Mumbai.

She has to do lingerie ads and earn enough to make a portfolio with a top photographer. She moves in with a struggling model. Then, she is noticed by a top ad agency and becomes famous but having an affair with her superior affects her career eventually. Then tragedy strikes.

This Ruskin Bond short story makes the plot of a film by Vishal Bhardwaj and focuses on the life of a femme fatale who finds faults in seven of her husbands and kills six of them. The story is related by a young pathologist Arun (Vivaan) who is love with the Anglo-Indian woman Susanna (Priyanka).

Her husbands include an Armyman, cop, singer, poet, Russian spy and a Bengali doctor. All of them do not seem to be what they are and one by one Susanna eliminates them without leaving a clue. Then a body is found and Arun is called to identify whether it is of Susanna or not.

This tragi-comic love story deals with two women and a deaf young mischief maker. Barfi (Ranbhir) is deaf from childhood and is taken care of his father. He later falls in love with Shruti (Illeana) but she is forced by her parents to marry someone else.

Barfi’s father is in debt which forces him to take to crime. He decides to kidnap his childhood friend Jhilmil (Priyanka) but finds she is already kidnapped. Taking his chance, he collects the ransom and takes Jhilmil to his village but finds his father dead. He keeps running away with Jhilmil. Then Shruti once again enters his life to complicate matters.

This sports biopic depicts the journey of India’s boxing legend Mary Kom, played by Priyanka Chopra, including her early days when she had not achieved fame. The struggles she faced as a young girl in Manipur, her accidental entry into a boxing gym while chasing a boy and finally revealing her ambition to be a boxer to the coach there are brought to screen.

Priyanka had to undergo three months of physical training to build muscles and had to learn Kom’s distinctive style of boxing to fit the role. She won tremendous praise from the critics for her role and won several awards for her acting and dedication.
