Synerzip and Pub-Matic inflicted runaway victories over IP Access and Vinsys respectively in the 2nd Prithvi Edifice Cup 2016 Inter IT T20 Cricket Championship, here on Saturday.
In another match, Zensar could only muster a narrow 18-run victory over Tibco.
At the Shinde HS ground, Synerzip led by a fruitful 69-run second wicket partnership between Dipesh Rane and Sandeep Kamble did well to overcome the 118-run target set by IP Access
IP Access electing to bat first after winning the toss could never get their innings flowing. However, useful contributions from Mandar Magaikar (34) and Prashant Shinde (32), who played sheet-anchor roles after Synerzip’s Nagmani Prasad (4/19) seemed to be running through their innings helped them post 118/8 in 20 overs.
In reply, Synerzip had Dipesh (49 n.o) take the lead in the company of Sandeep (26) to roll past their opponents score in 14.5 overs.
At Deccan Gymkhana it was the innings by Siddharth Jalan (66) which did the job for Zensar.
Batting first Zensar posted a competitive 161/5, which proved a little extra for Tibco who could only manage 143/8 with Prasanna Paranjape (36) and Ashutosh Sathe (32) handing out a fight but in vain as they fell 18 runs short.
In the third match of the day, Pub-Matic notched up the highest total of the day and likewise had the highest partnership amidst their team as they registered massive 129 run win over Vinsys, who logged the lowest score of the day.
With openers, Ronak Doshi 66 (off 47 balls) and Rohan Darekar (24) notching up 89 runs for the first wicket Pub-Matic were on their way to a huge total. At the end of 20 overs, Pub-Matic ended up registering 192/2.
In reply, Vinsys were skittled out for 63 in just 15 overs with Amarnath Baykod (2/13) doing most of the damage.
