Paneer, Good Fortune And The Karia Family

Fortune with his family- the Karia's
A little bit of paneer and Fortune will smile at you, say the Karia family..

Little Baby:

He was a gift for Daiwik Karia and a surprise for his mother Priya Karia. Brought home by dad Jignesh Karia, Fortune changed the Karia family’s lives overnight! I got him home at 10.30 pm. He was so small that he couldn’t even climb up the steps! I used to push him little bottom up to help him climb remembers Jignesh, an entrepreneur. Daiwik was 7 then and delighted with Fortune (now 6 years old).

The Bond:

Our lives changed because we got a son and Daiwik got a brother shares Jignesh.

They do everything together. So much so that there are instructions like sit, walk, shake paw that he listens to only when Dawik tells him adds Jignesh. Much loved by all at home, he gets a rakhi every raksha bandana, a party for every birthday! “Fortune gets to sleep with by the AC at night. He isn’t allowed anywhere else in the house except our bedroom adds Priya.

The Routine:

For his morning and evening exercise, Fortune goes on short walks. At other times, he is busy barking his head off at all dogs passing by his home, except Sheeru and Simba. His biggest enemy is the cat who sits on a tree just out of Fortunes reach and watches him woof and woof. He is a lion in his den, smiles Daiwik, a Std VIII student of Loyola high School.

Likes and Dislikes:

Scared of lightening and of the thought that a bath is around the corner, he does everything in his power to run away from both. But with Priya’s determination, he has to surrender.

Fortune gets a Rakhi and a birthday party with the family every year. When we are celebrating something he knows there will be some cake or mithai. In fact even after our Ganapati Aartis, Fortune waits for the prasad. He has a sweet tooth, smiles Priya of her little baby.

His most irritating habit is strewing the garden with his toys. He just wont pick them up and then I have to do the needful sighs Priya.

The Good Boy:

Like a good watchdog, Fortune barks at strangers. It stresses me out because inspite of that, he is very friendly. And if you show him a piece of paneer he will follow you absolutely anywhere. To top that I worry that his sense of direction is not all that good she sighs.

With a wag at his mom, Fortune decides its time to turn in for the afternoon. And he snores. Must be dreaming of going everywhere with Daiwik or about celebrating a birthday so he can get cake, laughs Priya. Jignesh adds, Or of his angel so they can have little puppies. And we wish Fortune all of that!
