NFAI And SPPU sign MOU for a Course in Film Studies

Aimed at starting the course in Indian film studies, National Film Archive of India (NFAI) and Savitri Bai Phule Pune University (SPPU) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding. The MoU was signed by Dr. Nitin Karmalkar, Vice-Chancellor SPPU and Prakash Magdum, Director NFAI. Also present were Santosh Ajmera, OSD NFAI, Keerti Tiwari, Deputy Director, NFAI and Dr. Madhavi Reddy, HOD Department of Media and Communication Studies, SPPU. The yearlong course, a post graduate diploma in Indian Film Studies, caters to students who want to do quality research and develop expertise in the area of Indian film studies. The course will have a special component on film preservation.

The details of the course and admissions are available on the Website of Pune University (www.unipune.ac.in/). The last date of applications is 6th July and entrance exam is scheduled for 8th July.
