Pune’s Powerpuff Girls

Shreya Chandorkar, Ankita Kadam and Rachna Shah recently graduated from MIT, Design in Pune but decided to start their own graphic design venture called Out and Out Design instead of taking up a secure job at a big firm. The emerging business women have created a niche for themselves in this space of design catering to a notable clientele in Pune. Unbox – Bringing out-of-the-box designs

Sahil Rao was advised not to start his own venture but he’s glad he didn’t listen. This entrepreneur’s venture is a little over a year old and it has already won four National Awards for Innovative Packaging in 2017. Rao designs innovative packaging solutions for real estate, luxury and beverage brands. His aim is to keep on creating better and further invent on his craft of packaging and boxing products. Heelium – Powering high performance running

This is the story of two former IIT Roorkee students, Prateek Sharma and Siddharth Jain, who are working on producing a shoe that is customised as per the fit to strike the right balance. They are already ready with the first prototype and will be getting it tested. Taking their innovation and method, these two entrepreneurs are ready to enter a market that is highly dominated by big brands. White Global – Breaking the language barrier

There is a big and untapped market in the field of translation and localisation. With the intention to bridge the gap between languages, Sheetal Ramkumar, Vidya Ramadasan and Amit Kumar started White Global. This venture is now working with over 90 languages including Hebrew, Arabic, Finnish, Danish, Zulu, Swahili, and providing services in localisation. Understanding the value of diverse languages, cultures and local perception is something that this company prides itself for. You can read this story here.

Mumma’s Box – Your child’s nutrition, now home delivered

Mumma’s Box is a startup that has relieved the pressure off many working parents and delivers freshly-cooked meals at 6 am for children with varying ages and nutritional needs. Started by Kaustubh Mantri, Akshay Korgaonkar and Shreyas Das, this venture swears by its quality and delivers food that is healthy, filled with protein for children. They have also tied up with several NGOs in order to provide nutritional food for under-privileged children. Read this interesting story here.

Fishvish – The best of seafood now at your doorstep

India is one of the biggest exporters of seafood yet the produce that makes its way to the Indian market, lacks in quality. This is the story of how three fish lovers and entrepreneurs, Krishnaji Kulkarni, Shumu Gupta and Bijal Patel started Fishvish, an online retail supply of seafood that delivers all over Pune.
