The Lila Poonawalla Foundation, UG-PG Scholarship Awards were given away, to girls studying in institutes in Pune District. The foundation awarded scholarships in Science, Engineering, Pharmacy, Diploma in Engineering and Nursing, at an event held on November 5 & 6 at Alpa Bachat Bhavan. Padmashri Lila Poonawalla, Chairperson of the foundation, thanked all the partners and well wishers, who helped support and empower the girls.
Prof Gade, Chief Guest at one of the functions, stressed upon the ripple effect educating a girl can create, within her family, the society she lives in and the country at large.
