J&K Chief Minister Lauds FTII Short Courses In The State

The short courses being conducted by Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) in Jammu and Kashmir has come in for special appreciation by Ms Mehbooba Mufti, Chief Minister of J&K.

Bhupendra Kainthola, Director, FTII called on the state Chief Minister in Srinagar and briefed Ms Mufti in particular about the Still Photography and Screenplay Writing courses (25 April-14 May) which ended in Srinagar on Monday. These courses are being conducted across the country under FTII’s outreach initiative SKIFT (Skilling India in Film and Television).

Ms Mufti appreciated the steps being taken by FTII in the state and agreed that this will encourage the youth to explore cinema as a new expression of storytelling. She further stated that J&K govt will continue to provide all support to FTII in the conduct of courses in future.
