Temghar Dam
This dam constructed on Mutha River attracts a lot of tourists due to its proximity to the private, planned city, Lavasa. Regular campers have it that as night sets in, one can see multiple fireflies lighting-up the nearby area.

Bhatgar Dam
Constructed on Velavandi river near Bhor village offers a scenic view of the backwaters. The area around is still untouched and has a magnificent view of green trails alongside the roads. With buzzling tourism, the area around has multiple resorts for a continued stay. It is also a prime location for a quick getaway for family picnics and a popular location for film shoots.

Kasarsai Dam
Just half an hour drive away from the city is this excellent place for a day out. The lake offers a lot of activities like boating and camping and one can grab a quick bite of the local snacks at the small hotels.

Panshet Dam

Alternatively, you can savour the ‘bhajji, bhutta, tandoori chai and bhel’ at the chowpati at Khadakwasla dam on your way back.

One of the largest dams in Maharashtra, Koyna Dam located in Satara district is however, approx. 196.0 km from Pune. The dam on Koyna River rises in Mahabaleshwar and is in Koyna Nagar.
The dam is surrounded by various hotels in the vicinity to provide you with decent staying options while you explore Koyna Nagar and Mahabaleshwar on your trip.
