#Furholics: This Is The Amazing Story Of Cookie And Mohana

Cookie With Mohana

She calls herself the crazy cat lady.

Apart from those cats, finance professional Mohana Sathye has one sweet girl at home who she dotes on – Cookie.

Cookie’s Story

She was born to one of the cats Mohana was looking after and was always her favourite.

Cookie had two siblings, but she was always my favourite. She was adopted by a bachelor, but he could not manage to keep her, and so I requested him to give her back.

I had always wanted her to be with me, and my wish came true,” shares Mohana of her three and half year old.

Named Cookie because her colour reminded Mohana of ginger cookies, the girl is absolutely adorable. The manners Contrary to what most expect from cats, Cookie is very well behaved, but not very social.

“She is a little scared of strangers and hides under a bed when new people visit. She is as demanding as any other cat, needing affection and love,” she adds.

The best part is when Cookie grunts and purrs everytime she sits on our laps. It feels amazing and therapeutic,” she explains.

The Routine

Throughout the day she loves sleeping, she accompanies Mohana when she waters the plants, trying to nibble on them when she is not looking.

She loves sitting next to my dad when he is working on his laptop, and she is always at the door waiting for me when I come back from work.

Then she proceeds to sit on my lap and knee, until she is satisfied. After this she demands that I give her wet cat food and only then she quietens down. At night she comes and sleeps next to me,” she explains.

The Funny Side

She almost chirps when she sees birds in the window or a bee buzzing near a light. “She also has play fights with one of my older cats, and it is funny to watch her fur all fuzzed up and swishy,” laughs Mohana ruffling her fur.

She irritates me at 5 in the morning, when she is sleeping next to me, and suddenly starts jumping around, and running wildly in the room,” she sighs.

Playful Girl

As a kitten she was most playful, she used to play fetch with Mohana with pen caps and paper balls.

After playing when she was tired, she would come and sit near Mohanas leg, keeping her paws on her toes.

She is extremely loving and affectionate, she loves eating lemongrass and every time my dad brings some for her, she goes berserk trying to eat it,” adds Mohana.

We leave her lost in her lemongrass. The picture leaves us feeling warm and fuzzy.
