Every single walk is bound to bring home some muddy paws. What do you do then? You don’t do much, you clean up, with a smile!

If your dog likes the water, a regular walk is not a task, it becomes a time for you to enjoy splashing through puddles.

Take your dogs for a WALK OR RUN, WHATEVER THE WEATHER! They go out to do their business and most will hold on till you take them out and so you can’t afford to get lazy.

Don’t forget to pick up the poo!

Yes, there is slush around. ACCEPT that your dog is going to have a messy undercarriage and muddy paws, after every walk!

CLEAN UP the undercarriage and legs with water. Use your hands to take off the dirt! No shampoo necessary and definitely no antiseptic required. Pat dry with a towel. — USE  a RAINCOAT if your dog allows it. Though it won’t help much with the undercarriage, it will keep the back dry..

Shoes are not meant for dogs. Their paws and legs are able to deal with the mud and water. Don’t get them shoes unless a medical condition demands the paws be kept dry.

Trim the fur of the undercarriage and legs of the long haired breeds to make cleaning easy. For those who don’t enjoy walking in the rain, change walk timings according to the weather.

Don’t crib, your dog is a part of your family and doing a little bit here and there is not a huge issue!

If you think your dog is smelling, use a dry bath option to clean up. or dust a bit of dog powder and brush.. Baths still have to be at least a fortnight apart.  Post a bath, it is mandatory to dry your dog properly in this cold, rainy weather.

Play indoor games like hide and seek or teach them a new command to use time indoors and to prevent boredom. Use a walk to relive your childhood, jump through puddles, dance in the rain, sing a song and enjoy the season!

Stay safe my furry friends !
