She can’t imagine life without him. Whatever she eats, he gets the first bite, always. Yes, this actress Sayali Pandit is very fond of Spikey, her Pug.
Her first pet, Sayali treats him like her baby. “I can’t treat him like a dog. He is an important member of my family. He is my first baby. He is actually my world,” says the actor kissing him.
For a small dog he does have a big name, Spikey. Sayali laughs, “The family we bought him from had already named him so we continued.”
A thorough gentlemen with naughty streaks, the pug has the most angelic look on his face when Sayali scolds him. Not trained, Sayali insists that she only has to point out what she wants him to do and he just does it!
Almost as if on cue, Sayali points to the water bowl and the chubby pug goes there for a drink!
So connected are the two that he knows when Sayali is ringing the doorbell. “he is at the door, much before anybody else, and is dying to open the door for me,” she sighs.
Living between Mumbai and Pune because of work, she misses Spikey the most.
Sometimes I give him more attention than my parents. But what can I do, he is my darling baby, sighs Sayali who is seen in Zee Marathi’s Tuza Maza Break up.
So, when Sayali comes back to Pune Spikey gets extra pampering and being everybody’s favourite child; nobody shouts at him for anything at home.
With the size of a small dog and the heart of a lion, let any dog give Spikey a reason to get annoyed and the ego comes out and he just doesn’t back off!
Fond of a female dog Goga and Rocky a pet close to home, the pug is happy go lucky. Give him a vanilla ice cream or barfi and your friendship is cemented.
He loves to make friends with all dogs and at home he enjoys snoozing for hours.
Taken for two wheeler rides and car drives, Spikey loves his scooter rides more. “he gets to see so much more,” explains Sayali.
And we can see the enthusiasm as Spikey gets ready for a jaunt with his favourite human!
