Educators

More than 45 educators, including principals, teachers from various cities and experts from Finland visited some of Pune’s pre-primary schools recently.

The visit was a part of a five-day conference on ‘Early Childhood Education’ organised by Pune-based Learn2Teach and Finpeda at Residency Club.

Finpeda is one of Finland’s leading Educational Consultancy and Training Institute.

The Finnish experts visited Toddlers Nursery at Mohammedwadi while the educators delegation visited Harmony Tree School.

Insiyah Rahim, Founding Director, Learn2Teach, and organiser of the conference, said that the event was customised for Indian Schools where more than 45 educators from Pune, Mumbai, Delhi, Indore, and Coimbatore among others are participating and taking back tangible solutions to implement in their institutes.

Finnish experts Pasi Mattila, Jaana Juutinen and Paivi Erkkila got to know basic infrastructure of Indian pre-schools , philosophy, ethos and the functioning while the educator delegation gave an idea to the teachers about how to implement some of the best practices in our schools.

Finland is known for one of the best education systems in the world and this was an opportunity not only to interact with Finnish experts but to chalk out tangible plans to implement in their schools.
