The Dream Kitchen For Authentic Dhaba Vibes..

A restaurant resembling a Dhaba with a modern twist offering lip-smacking food, The Dream Kitchen at Magarpatta is a must visit. Serving everything from Tandoor, Mughlai, Kathi Rolls to Chinese delicacies, this newly-opened rooftop restaurant is owned by Jeet and Naina Walia.

The ambiance is well lit with a surround system playing Punjabi and fusion music. The glass covered open kitchen is where you can see the dishes being plated for you. Colourful cots (char-pai) and chairs make a perfect seating with artistically done interiors to give you authentic Dhaba vibes. The outdoor seating area is perfect for parties or a private date night with the view of the night life of the city.

To start from, they have an amazing menu with both veg and non-veg options to stimulate one’s appetite. The Murg Afghani Roll is a scrumptious Rumali Roti roll filled with chunks of chicken, green chatni and marinated veggies. The Lasooni Chicken Tikka is a boneless chicken marinated in garlic and yogurt grilled to make the meat tender and juicy. Adding a twist to this is Dahi De Sholey, a crispy fried bread on the outside with yogurt, marinated paneer and veggies on the inside. The Chatpati Chaap comes as a surprise. Though made from soyabean, this crispy and equally tender dish that tastes like a marinated fish is their specialty. And finally, giving the feel of the North was Chilly Chicken, a soft boneless chicken with a burst of flavours of the sauces.

Their main course with unique options will leave you perplexed. The Dal Makhani didn’t come with a surprise. A little salty, it tastes best with Roomali Roti or Garlic Naan. With succulent meat and an amalgamation of Indian spices, the Bhuna Murg is the show stopper. To top it was the Mutton Rogan Josh with a subtle yet creamy gravy. With a variety of breads to offer, the Amritsari Kulcha is a delicacy in itself. The crispy Kesari Paratha and Mirchi Paratha are other must haves from their breads menu.

And finally, to satisfy a sweet tooth is the Shahi Tukda with fried bread topped with Rabdi and Dry fruits. The Kesar Vali Kheer is appropriate for people who do not like too much sweetness. This thick, warm and dry fruits over-loaded dish with a hint of Kesar is liked the most. For those who don’t want to experiment, the hot dripping Gulab Jamun is also in the menu.

Cost for two: Rs 1200 approx

The Dream Kitchen is located at Konark Icon, Next to Seasons Mall, Magarpatta.
