Shizusan – the winner of ‘Best Pan Asian’ at the Times Food & Nightlife Awards 2017 – turns one this weekend and as part of the celebrations, Chef Paul Kinny has put his best foot forward to give the traditional birthday cake a sweet Asian twist with the Sushi Donut. A combination of the world’s two most popular comfort foods, Sushi and Donut, these too-pretty-to-eat desserts that come in four versions – Original, Kiwi & Dragon fruit, Mango and Strawberry – will appease your sweet cravings and also make your social media feed look pretty.
Rolled and served only for this weekend, the Sushi Donut at Shizusan has a ring of Japanese sweet sticky rice topped with various exotic fruit sliced as thin as a sashimi and will be served with compliments of the team for three days only. These Sushi Donuts are sure to set Pune’s Instagram feed on fire!
