This week I am starting out with a personal experience that recently took place at my office.
I see a lot of young patients at my office and very often its about having a perfect set of pearly whites. I’m always happy to oblige. A beautiful smile contributes in a big way to your self-esteem and confidence. Visiting the dentist is something we should do, as we can get regular checks on our teeth and gums. Once you get the advice from a dentist, this should put your mind at ease.
I had a young pretty looking girl come in recently. She mentioned she was getting married and wanted to look her best and I couldn’t agree more. The problem was she had some crooked teeth that needed fixing. Straightening teeth is as easy as ever and now thanks to at-home options, the Clear orthodontic prices (or ราคา จัด ฟัน แบบ ใส) are cheaper than ever. Ten minutes into the discussion and she mentioned having taken a couple of other professional opinions before she saw me. I was curious to know what brought her to me and she mentioned she had heard I’m into Non-Invasive Dentistry. She had definitely heard right! Everyone she had been to had proposed cutting her teeth, making measurements and giving her perfect looking crowns to give her an amazing perfect smile. I’m sure that would make her look awesome, but at what cost?
She being just about 24 years’ old I wasn’t happy with this at all. When you start cutting and damaging perfectly healthy teeth only to get that perfect smile. That’s a big NO for me.
My next option would have been to insist on braces. But unfortunately that would take close to a year or maybe more and she was getting married in less than 6 months. She was a perfect case for Dental Aligners.
What are Dental Aligners?
Most dentists like this way offer orthodontic treatment, but aligners are a new kind of technology. Aligners are perfectly fabricated custom-made transparent retainers that slip over the teeth and fit perfectly without any movement. How do they work?
Some systems like Invisalign and Clear Path have a series of trays that your dentist will give you and these need to be changed very two weeks making it a little cumbersome for the patient.
However, some like Inman Aligners are the most user friendly as the patient requires only one single aligner through the treatment making it extremely convenient. And the results are superb.
Is it for everybody with crowding or crooked teeth?
Simply put the answer is NO.
This is a form of Adult Orthodontics restricted only to the front teeth to make them look perfect.
If teeth are severely misaligned or crowded, then proper orthodontic treatment will always be my treatment of choice.
How long does treatment take?
Since the alignment is focused only on the front teeth it may take anywhere between six weeks to 18 weeks. And Voila you have perfect looking teeth. There is no damaging or destruction and your own natural teeth can look fabulous with a tiny bit of work.
What are my Do’s and Don’ts?
- You have to commit to wearing the Aligner for at least 20 hours a day.
- Its very easy to wear and you can get used to it in two to three days. After a couple of days, you don’t even realize it’s there.
- Your social life doesn’t stop. I even have some patients who use it like a style statement.
- But do remember to remove it when you’re eating. That’s the only thing you can’t do with it.
- You’ll need to see your dentist every two weeks for minor adjustments.
- The biggest advantage being since it’s a removable appliance maintaining your oral health is simple and effective.
