Gyaan Adab brings you an evening where Japanese Poetry and Abhinaya merge flawlessly. Witness the marriage of Haiku and Abhinaya (facial expressions) portraying the overlapping of ideas in Indian classical dance and Japanese poetry. The poetry will be presented by Kala Ramesh, who writes and teaches Japanese short forms of poetry. The dance will be performed by Vrushali Chitale Lele, a disciple of Dr. Sucheta Chapekar; and Dhanashree Pandit and Shruti Subhash, disciples of Suchitra Date.
The evening will include an interactive session between the artists and the audience and dance performances to the recitation of haiku, senryu, tanka and haibun.
