Up-Close With Tejaa Deokar, Kishmish And Pari

They are really tiny. But thats only in terms of size. Kishmish the Chihiuaha is slightly quieter when it comes to protecting mom actress Tejaa Deokar, as it is Pari the min Pom, who is the lioness.

The two couldn’t have asked for a better mom since Tejaa not only pampers them silly but also takes them everywhere she can!

They’re mines!!! Tejaa, Kishmish and Pari

Kishmish is older than Pari, but true to her name, it is Pari the fairy who waves her magic wand (and sometimes her growls) to get things done her way.

So much so that nobody can sit next to Tejaa without permission. “Its almost like she knows that somebody is going to sit and before we can actually sit, she has jumped up and occupied the place,” laughs Teja.

Getting two small dogs was a decision Tejaa took very easily. “I had a beautiful cat who I lost some years ago. I was probably looking to fill that space when I got Kishmish,” she thinks out loud. It’s a decision that her entire house loves.

“When they haven’t eaten, we are all worried and we do everything in our power to get them to eat. It’s one of those things that just have to be done,” she grins as Pari and Kishmish sit in her lap. They known when Tejaa is shooting and they can’t go out with her, but at other times, they are ready to hop into her car for a drive, a trip to the spa or even to meet friends!

Tejaa certainly knows little dogs well so we went ahead and asked her for tips for our readers :

Here are Tejaa’s tips on small dog care:

If they fall, they can easily break their bones – they are delicate so take extra care.

Being so close to the ground, they see tiny pieces of food and things that we can’t. Before you know it, they are likely to eat what they find. It is not always good for them.

The Chihuahuas’ eyes are big so don’t let them hang out of the car when you take them for a ride. The Miniature Pomeranian’s coat needs regular brushing and trimming.

Their bathing – grooming routine must be in place. They can’t be kept in extreme heat or cold.

Food plays a very important role in their well being. Make sure their diet is balanced.
