What prompted you to start blogging?
I was always into fashion and I wanted to do fashion designing during college, but I ended up doing my MBA and moved to the corporate sector. Nevertheless, I never gave up on my passion for fashion and started posting pictures of my outfits on Instagram over the weekends. My Instagram picked up really fast and everyone suggested that I start a blog. I eventually did and it soon garnered a lot of attention. This gave me the courage to leave my job to become a full-time blogger and then a YouTuber.
How has blogging helped you personally and professionally?
Personally, I feel that I am so much happier now because I do what I love. As I mentioned, I always wanted to do something in fashion and now I am finally living my dream. There are very few people who love what they do and look forward to their work. I am glad that I took the risk and followed my dream. Professionally, I feel that I have grown a lot and I am delighted with where I am today,
What is your favourite part of this profession?
I love each and every part. Since this is my passion, I put in everything I have and enjoy doing what I do. From clicking pictures to shooting videos, editing them and handling my social media, everything is blissful.
How would you describe your style?
My style is very versatile. I promote being comfortable and having your own signature style more than anything else. You would often spot me wearing sneakers and sunnies with most of my outfits and that’s what sets me apart.
How do you research for your blog?
My blog is all about being comfortable and making your own style statement. Hence, there is really no research involved. I won’t really follow a trend no matter how raging it is, unless it really fits my style. Even if I pick a trend and become obsessed with it, I won’t let go of it til I get bored of it and find something more interesting that complements my sense of style!
When is the right time to start blogging? Any Do’s and Don’ts?
There is no particular time to start blogging. You can start whenever you are ready to dedicate some time towards this. I thought my strong base and education is important so I started blogging after completing my post-graduation and working for a couple of months. If you are young and know that this is what you want to do, then get into fashion and designing at the graduate level to gain knowledge and experience.
What are your future plans?
I want to start my own online store and have a clothing line that defines my style and caters to the majority of society.
