Interestingly, Pune still offers a great meal at low cost. Presented here is a random selection of a few of the wholesome all-time favourites: 

Anda Chingari

This place is a heaven for eggetarians, 80% of their menu contains only egg dishes! This Eggetarians’ Paradise serves a variety of Egg dishes right from bhurji pav to egg biryani, all with super quirky names.

Giant Burgers

The simple, casual, easy on pocket place is a  favourites with Puneites.. A huge burger with a delicious combination of cheese, meat patty, soft house buns along with abundant of mayonnaise and ketchup dipping from the burger.

Everything that you order here will make you want more. Their salami sandwich with sausage and lots of the cheese is a must try

Stuffed Paratha

One of the earliest paratha outlets to make a name for itself, the aloo paratha at Chaitanya continues to remain a favourite in spite of growing competition.

From college-goers to working professionals and from couples to families, the aloo paratha is a classic that caters to everyone.

Just make sure to get there before you get ravenous- you will probably have to wait a while to get a table, and the aroma won’t help your wait!

Must Try: Aloo Paratha, Haryali Paratha, Stuff chole, Tawa Pulav.

Tandoori Paneer Pizza

Craving for Pizza? Tandoori Paneer Pizza is a true heaven for cheese and vegetarians, a thin crust pizza, with paneer cooked in a spicy sauce and mayo and loads of mozzarella on top.

Though you might find the menu a bit limited and restricted to vegetarians, the place serves all the dishes oozing with cheese.

Must Try: Cheese chilli Pizza, Peri Peri Paneer Pizza, Olive Corn Pizza

Rolls and Biryani

Located in Modern Colony, Good Food is a life saviour for all the college students and for those who find it difficult to control their hunger! Known for biryani, rolls and North Indian food, this is a great place to visit for good food at pocket friendly rates.

Must Try: Chicken Rice, Biryani, Butter chicken combo, Paneer Butter masala combo, Rolls

Chole Bature

A small, crowded all-vegetarian joint, this place is known for its low-cost home-style Punjabi fare.

You may have to make your way through a long queue to find your seats. Their soft bhaturas with hot and spicy Chhole is something you wouldn’t want to miss.

The pickled chillies served along with it are a real hit too.
